Blog Post #39- Filming #11

Filming #11

In the shot, I feel this as a next shot of Lacey, walking out of her garage, holding the bear trap. I tracked Lacey as she walked to let the audience know that she was walking with the bear trap in where she’s walking through. I found this as a mid shot. That way you can see most of her body language walking through all of the house. I Family shop from behind because it would make sense with the way that I wanted to track the shot. Altogether the way that I wanted to film, the scene would only work if it was from this way..

Again, I did not add anything to the scene because the fluorescent lights from inside my garage gave the right amount of lighting that I wanted. I continue to follow rules of thirds because this is still one of the jump cut scenes. I. Rule of thirds is also one of the things that lets your eyes go to so I continuously make sure to keep my characters on there. That way they are on focus all the time.

In this next shot, it is a shot of Lacy walking through the front door. She is going outside into the front yard to she place the trap where she had heard branches snapping from the animal. I had issues with shooting the scene and had to re-shoot a few times. In my first shot of the scene it was going well was turning out well but my actor had gone to open the front door and it was locked and it just made the shot not look professional. In my next shot the camera was just so shaky and it didn’t turn out well or at least how will I want it so I decided to reshoot it because it wouldn’t hurt anyone. I film the third one and that one that has made it into the Final Cut. I continue to follow rules through this shot.
