Final Product Description
At the beginning of the year when I first learned we had to make a 2-minute opening scene, I did not think much about my idea. When we got the assignment in class, I asked some of my friends, "What would be a good idea for a movie?". While I did not get a direct answer someone said I should do a stalker movie.
The name of my movie is "Is It Ever Quiet?" This movie is about a quiet girl who ends up with a stalker. The quiet girl's name is Lacy and her stalker's name is Steve. Lacy is a smart sweet girl who does not talk much during class. Steve is a class clown and is known by everyone. He is also very extroverted. Steve and Lacy will be my two main characters, but the movie will have a lot more actors needed if I decide to do any school shots. The premise of my movie is about Lacy's life and the eeriness that comes with it. Steve does not fit the stereotype of a stalker, but this isn't his first instance.
For my opening scene, I want it to be a future moment in time and then after the opening scene is done, I want it to go into the present time before the stalking began. In my opening scene, I want to establish the location. This scene will mostly take place at her house where all of the stalking happens between them. I want her to be relaxing and working on schoolwork when she begins hearing eerie noises outside. She goes to investigate she thinks she sees a figure, but she brushes it off and goes back to doing her schoolwork.
Timeline:
I want to finish all of my research and planning by mid-January and begin filming this winter break for some scenes I might be able to use in my opening scene. I want to leave all of March to edit and maybe film extras that I may need. I will be using most of February to film a bunch of scenes for this project.
