Blog Post #11- Character Aesthetics

 Character Aesthetics

For this blog I wanted to go in-depth about each of my characters. I wanted to start by making a Pinterest board for both Steve and Lacy.

Here is the Pinterest board I created for Lacy
When I was creating Lacy’s Pinterest board I didn’t know exactly what her aesthetic was. By the time I finished I established that her aesthetic follows the light academia aesthetic. She is a smart school girl who always has her nose in a book or is studying for her classes. She is the type of girl who would never say no to sitting by the fire. Her values are to always learn and be kind to others. She is a very friendly person however she is a closed off reserved person.

Here is Steve’s Pinterest board aesthetic

The aesthetic I was going for when I created his Pinterest board was an old school jock. I wanted to have a hidden meaning behind the board. I wanted that meaning to be that he is a creepy stalker but the meaning is not direct. I wanted it like that because I don’t want my audience to know Steve is a stalker in my opening scene but I want him to have creepy tendencies. I picked these photos in the board all for a reason because the serve a purpose to his identity in my film. The photo of all the different cameras are used to represent his stalker tendencies of surveillance. The unknown caller photo is an Easter egg in my film because there is a part where Lacy gets a call from an Unknown number. The letterman jacket and the football photos all show his popular sporty side that her portrays to everyone. The car photos because I feel like he would drive a fancy car, and these match the old jock style I gave him.
