Blog Post #12- Casting

 Casting

        In my opening scene there are two main characters, Steve and Lacy. I go further into depth about each of the characters in blog post #11. A person who reminded me of Lacy is my friend Mylah.  She is a quiet smart and reserved girl so I feel as if this part would just come naturally to her. Mylah would be a reliable actor for me because even if she’s injured she still shows up to things. She would also offer me good advice on my film because she has already taken this class. Mylah would match the age range I also need for my character because she is a teenager in high school and so is Lacy. 

        For Steve I had some struggle figuring out who I wanted to play the role. I wanted a guy to be Steve but I do not know anyone who would be able to fit the role. For this role I just decided to use my sister because this is not the first time I had her dress up as a guy in one of my films. My sister would also be a reliable actor because I live with her and I could ask her anytime to film something. My sister grew up playing sports so I feel as if she could play a jock very well. She would only have one line in my film they shed have to say something in so I don’t have to worry much that she doesn’t have a low pitched guys voice. Jackie is always willing to try something new and she’ll put her heart towards it so I feel like she would be a good actor in this film.
