Blog Post #25- Filming #5
Filming #5
I had originally filmed this scene with my actor over at my house but I don’t like how it turned out. My mom looked at the camera and I don’t want that to be in my final project so when my actor comes over again I am going to have to reshoot. I took this shot a few times but each time id didn’t really look like I followed rule of thirds well. For this type of shot I want to follow rule of third very well. I also don’t like how bright it is while looking outside, I know the scene is supposed to but in the morning but it just seems so bright outside and very gloomy inside. To fix this I am going to add lighting inside and try to film the scene later to get the effect of morning. I am only doing this because the day my actor is coming over they are only available at night and I don’t need them to come over just to film one scene.
This shot was okay. I think I could have filmed it better and it wasn’t one of my best clips but I think it works for my film. It is the opening shot to my opening scene where you get the first look at lacy. I didn’t follow rule of thirds when filming this I wanted it to be all about my main character. I also think the shot sets up a lot of the setting because it shows the area where a lot of things happen. If this clip was not long enough to go with my voice over I could add the shot of the bushes and tree next to the front door. This shot would foreshadow where the stalker. It would also show the bushes that she later hides in to catch the thing keeping her up.
