Blog Post #30- Editing #1
Editing #1
I started editing some of the shots that I have wrote about previously in other blogs but I needed to get started on editing because the deadline is coming up. I started editing by doing the Picnic scene from my story board. This is a scene about Steve and Lacy going on a date and him asking her to be his girlfriend. They have many shots inside of this scene that were all filmed at in a park.
I tried out a few different angles when filming this because I wanted to get something that would look good together but I ended up only using the one angle. I needed a shot for before and luckily we messed around and did random things that I could add. If we did not do this I would not have had a beginning shot for this scene and I would have had to improvise. The shot that we messed around doing was the one of my main character, Lacy, getting fed a strawberry by Steve, the other main character.
To edit this all together I did a shot clip in VN Editor, the two shots did not flow well together without a transition so I used one of the ones they had when you would click the "+" sign. The other shots all went together well and I did not have to add anything to them. I added in the voice over for this scene and made sure everything fit well together and the VoiceOver lined up with the clips. This is what then gave me my Final Cut of this shot. It is subject to change when I piece together everything in the end but this will do for now.
