Filming #6
This shot took place at school when Lacy went to school sleep deprived. I had my actor wear more comfortable lounge like clothing. The reason why I made my actor wear this outfit was because he she was sleep deprived and when I’m sleep deprived typically I like to wear comfier to school. This actor was a teenage girl, so I chose my outfits to kind of resemble typically what I like to wear as I am a teenage girl.
When filming I chose to do the shot as a mid shot that way, you could see the characters body language. The body wouldn’t wish that I wanted to show was her walking slowly and tiredly while also seeing her rub her eyes to signify that she is tired. I follow the rule of thirds in the shot because it made my main character more of the focal point because that’s what rule of thirds is for.
The next shot that I filmed was Lacy and Steve meeting. I had my actor, Jackie, put on her guy costume again and act as a school jock. I had my other actor, Mylah, dress in what she would normally wear to school. I filmed this shot as a mid shot at the beginning to see her walking. I then tracked her to an over the shoulder shot of Steve coming up to her to talk to her. I filmed it this way you could see what Steve is saying.
To go with my script I filmed the scene where Lacy was pleasantly surprised by Steve coming up to her and saying she was pretty. I filmed this as an over the shoulder shot to show that Lacy was still talking to Steve. Also to show Lacys surprised reaction. I made sure to put Lacey and Steve on each intersecting line of the lines from rule of thirds.
