Blog Post #38- Filming #10

Filming #10

In this shot it is still one of the continuous jump cuts of Lacy getting her bear trap to go set up. I filmed this one as more of an over the shoulder shot. I just wanted my audience to know that it was Lacy going to get the bear trap but I wanted the focal point to be on the scenery. I only had the back of Lacy and from other scenes before with her pink jacket you will know that it is her. Which is why I put a very close up of her back on one rule of thirds intersecting line and on the other rule of thirds intersecting lines all of the important scenery. In this scene I just used my garage as it was left to make it feel lived in and seem like this took place on a random day. Only because we have lived in out garage and it has all of our stuff that we use in it. The scenery for a garage made it feel more in place. I added not extra lighting to this shot because the fluorescent ceiling lights lit up the whole room and made it feel real and not staged.

For this next shot is was a close up of high angle shot of Lacy grabbing the bear trap. I took this shot as a high angle shot because it let you see everything that I wanted to be pictured in the film. The close up shot just let you see everything that’s going on. From it you can also see how large the bear trap actually is compared to the average human. No lighting was added into this scene because it looked better without any and made the scene feel unrealistic with it. I had her turn on the lights as she was going in because it provided the audience with knowing she turned them on. Rule of thirds continued to be followed.
